Had a 1/2 Day today. It was a little breezy all day which kept us near the beach. There have been some King Mackeral biting at Yaupon Reef so we decided to give it a try. The bite was a little slow on the kings. Several kings skied on our baits, but missed the hooks. One 20 pounder connected, but bite through the leader right at the boat before Zach could get a gaff in him. Even though the kings were a little slow, the sharks made up the difference. The group landed several sharks, one being a nice 4′ Hammerhead. I’ve got an offshore trip on Saturday and Gulf Stream/Bottomfishing trip on Sunday, so stay tuned for more reports.
